One of the activity priorities of the Fund for Revival of Traditions the “Jewish National Fund" is to work with children and adolescents. From the kindergarten age and up to student years. This work is multifaceted. There is return to our traditions, studying the history of the nation and its culture, the Hebrew language, celebrations, meeting Sabbath. We must not forget about physical education, sports ...
To this end, the Fund finances projects at different communities in various cities and towns. There are the Moscow Jewish Community House, School of Health № 1858, kindergarten and Sunday school at the Jewish Community of Veliky Novgorod, children's projects at the community of Ryazan, etc.
Much attention is devoted to children with special needs. At the Moscow Jewish Community House, the special project "Integration" was developed for such kids. Participating in it are families where there are children with cerebral palsy disease, autism, Down's syndrome. For these children, purposefully organized are festivals, visits to museums, theaters, walks in the Botanical Garden and parks. For parents, special sessions are held, discussions and consultations.
In Veliky Novgorod they publish the “Thiya” newspaper, experienced teachers teach children Hebrew, history and traditions, meeting Saturdays are held, a youth club and a kindergarten are working. At the School of Health № 1858 there is the Cafe “Tsimes”, lectures are given for high school students, their parents and teachers.
